About Me

Milena Williamson is from Swarthmore, Pennsylvania and has lived in Belfast since 2017. She has a PhD in poetry from the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s University Belfast and she received the Eric Gregory Award for outstanding work from poets under the age of 30 from the Society of Authors in the UK.

She is the author of 
Charm for Catching a Train (Green Bottle Press, 2022), her debut poetry pamphlet, and Into the Night that Flies So Fast, her debut poetry collection (Dedalus Press, 2024).


Her poems have been published widely in print and online, appearing in The London Magazine, The Stinging Fly, Poetry Ireland Review, Oxford Poetry and more. You can find some of her recent work online with Banshee, RTÉ, Propel Magazine, Magma Poetry and bath magg. Her feature Bridget Cleary and a poetry journey was published by The Irish Times.
